DEATHSTARS - Termination Bliss (2003)

You can't get much more uncool than liking Deathstars, really... and I certainly don't rate this as highly as I did when I first heard it. I like this kind of electro-goth (sometimes) though, but the lead vocal gets a bit tedious after a while (so, deeeeep...). Middling is a good way to describe this, it's okay, but after a while it gets a little dull, better of sticking to Kovenant, who do this kind of thing better.

METALLICA - St Anger (2003)

Widely lambasted as Metallica's worst album and by some as the worst Metal album ever made. The truth is the first song is okay, and the title track is better than anything the band have done since 1988. The rest of it is complete dog turd though. Seriously.

RAGE - Soundchaser (2003)

The best of Rage's later day work, although still lacking the early charm of albums like Reign of Fear. Since Victor Smolski joined the band he's pretty much turned them into a Power Metal Dream Theater, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
